Extensive Human Capital Management Experience - Prior to founding ERP, Rick spent seven years with major executive search firms such as Heidrick & Struggles, where he led that firm’s Global IT Services and Software Practice, A.T. Kearney Executive Search where he co-led their Global Advanced Technology Practice and Russell Reynolds Associates where he led that firm’s U.S. Telecom Practice. Most recently, he was an owner and President of Resource Development Company, an innovative provider of knowledge management services.

Successful Operational Experience - Rick’s background also includes 25 years of high tech operating experience as the Founder and CEO of debis IT Services North America, a subsidiary of Daimler Benz-owned debis Systemhaus, a $3 billion global IT services provider, the Founder and President of Comdisco’s European Disaster Recovery Services Division, the Sr. Vice President - Sales and Marketing of Hughes LAN Systems, and in various sales and marketing management positions with StorageTek and IBM.

Uncommon International & Start-up Experience - Rick has had the unique experience of founding and building a pan-European business for an American parent and an American based business for a European parent. He is experienced in bridging the cultural differences that exist in international business. Additionally, he is a strategist and entrepreneur who understands the dynamics of starting a business from scratch and growing it successfully in a challenging environment.

Strategic M&A Experience - Rick conceived, negotiated and finalized three joint ventures and three acquisitions in building CDRS Europe into a $50M business in only four years. Subsequently, he consummated a significant acquisition in building debis IT Services NA into a $50M business within three years and participated in the successful global sale of debis to Deutsche Telekom in 2000.

Rick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University, and has served on the Boards of several business and philanthropic organizations. He and his wife, Dianne, live in the Pacific Northwest, and have three adult children.
